What can I expect during my treatment process?
At your consultation visit we will discuss what results you would like to see and how we are going to get you there. Small amounts of the product are then administered to the target area. The process is easy, safe, and relatively painless.
Botox® is the brand name of a toxin derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This highly advanced toxin has been isolated so that small amounts may be injected into the human body for several uses. The most common use of Botox® is to temporarily limit muscle activity that is causing wrinkles.
Much like the more commonly used Botox®, Dysport® is a neuromodulator that limits muscle activity. Dysport® is believed to have a slightly faster onset than Botox®.
Xeomin® is one of the newest products we use at SKN but it can still be extremely effective. Like the more commonly know Botox®, it works to eliminate wrinkles by blocking nerve impulses that cause muscle activity. The unique thing about Xeomin® is that it contains no additives.
Nuceiva® / Jeuveau®
Nuceiva® / Jeuveau® is the newest neuromodulator on the Canadian market. It is only used for aesthetic purposes. Studies indicate essentially equivalent results with Botox®. It is commonly referred to as "Newtox" on social media.
